I'm in!

Awesome! I received a call this morning (Friday) at 10:30 from Amy at IADT-Chicago. They want me! So, it's all done and final. Almost. They air-mailed me some stuff yesterday and it arrived at about 11 today. I have some paper-work to fill out about it first, like financial aid and whatnot. I have to write an essay about my career goals and all that jazz.

Schober and I are watching Sex & the City, season 3. It makes me want to go to NY even more badly.

I'm kinda pissed that I lost my Zippo. That's my 2nd Zippo that I've lost. I really hope it shows up someplace. With any luck, a friend of mine has it. I'll ask around. Otherwise, it's time to buy another one.

International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago, IL

Well, I talked to an admissions rep today and had my big interview. She said that she'd support me 100% when she brings my app in front of them, and that I was pretty much in. Sweet! I just can't wait for it to be official! I'd feel really dumb if I'd gotten super excited and then discovered that I really wasn't accepted.

The shock of it all is still wearing in. I'd be starting in July. Crazy soon!

So, after the meeting I went in to change my hours and talked to Brion a bit. We're definitely going to go out drinking sometime. Preferably in Chicago or NY or someplace big and not Madison. Now don't get me wrong, I love Madison -- the only reason I say not Madison is because it's still a pretty small place, all in all. Plus, all the bars card. *shrug*

I'm kind of stressing out right now trying to get everything done. I'm trying to get a good mix of procrastination and productivity in there. I don't want to do the work but I need to. Some of it I just don't want to start on because it'll take a while. Other stuff is just boring. And some stuff I don't need to do work for, but I need to study for. Eek!

End of the year is a scary time

Well, kinda. I mean, there's all this work that we have due, and we're supposed to be ready to take tests on all the knowledge we've packed into our minds over this last semester. This semester seems to have gone so fast. Having class 2 days a week instead of 5 might have something to do with it. I'm anxious and excited about it all.

I've been listening to a lot of Elvis and Sinatra lately. (well, Rat Pack in general, really.) Did Elvis write his own songs? Did Sinatra? I don't really care, but I am kind of curious.

yay! so, I've got one of my articles up on themacmind.com. More to come later. I need to just get around to posting the other one. Then write a couple more.

Today's been stressful. Don't really care to explain it. My horoscope said to take things easy, and not rush to decisions, so that's what I'm trying to do.

I went to my parent's house and had oil + filter changed, and my tires rotated. Fun, eh?

Well, I think I'm off to do something slightly more productive. Dunno what.
