A little from column A, a little from column B.

well, if you've known me for any length of time you know that what I want changes so often that it puts the wind to shame with its variety and randomness. I'd mentioned earlier being an auto mechanic, which I still think I'd like to do -- just not full-time. I'm thinking now, of something that I've thought of before -- becoming a teacher. I know that I've made fun of educators before for having bad jobs where they get little pay and have to deal with ignorant high-schoolers or middleschoolers. But I think that it wouldn't be a bad course for me. I'd have summers off, which is a huge plus in my mind. I get to talk about history (which is what I'd want to major in). More particularly I'd want to learn about scandanvian history. Someday I'd like to live in Iceland or Greenland. Maybe Norway or Sweden.
I was thinking about where I'd like to live too, besides geographic location. I think I'd like to get a victorian-style house, maybe on a seashore someplace kind of warm, but not TOO warm. I still want snow. I'd like to have a study, or a library of my own.
And finally, I was thinking about this blog, and how it's public and for everybody to see. Including people I know. And I was thinking that it really isn't so much a diary as it is a daily advertisement of my semi-public thoughts. In a diary I can write whatever I want, not worried that somebody I know will be able to read it or see what I wrote.
I'm thinking that this might be the reason why Schober took his blog out of the public and made it private. Either that, or somebody was bothering him about something he wrote on there. *shrug* It remains a mystery.
Well, off for tonight. Adios.
I'm toying with the idea of creating a different web page. One like Omega Redd's (Linky). One with some real content, but not just devoted to one thing, like my current site (which hasn't been updated for a week or two anyways).
but, if I'm going to do this I'll need to come up with some stuff to write about. Stuff I like doing. I hope Omega doesn't mind if I borrow his ideas for my site (well, some of them).
So, the new site would have what?
Category-wise I was thinking:
-------------
D&D .... I've had a couple web sites devoted to this before. One is still up I think. here if I remember right.
Magic: The Gathering ... Deck lists, maybe an inventory of cards up for trade.
MUD page .... Multi User Dungeon, that is. My favorite one Must have telnet to use this link or visit the web site at hypercube.org.
But what else? Have a couple links off to my older or other sites? Like my old D&D site(s), and my car site, my photo albums. My iMac-to-fishtank conversion project?
If I get time today I'll try coming up with the layout... Will post back when I have it ready.
i had a music theory midterm today, and I think it went pretty well. All except for what a breve is and what key signature C flat is. Grr... I thought it was a trick question since C flat = B, so I said it was the same as a B major scale, when in fact, it is not. A C flat scale has 7 flats in it.
I'm not sure if I have any other midterms today. Last Tuesday I had my psychology midterm. I think I did alright with that, but not GREAT. Tonight, if I have any more, it'll be a Sociology midterm.
this is an interesting show. schober has it on DVD and brought it over. i think i'm hooked. this show is cool. and kinda creepy. they start off each showing somebody dying. in this one, a guy got chopped up by a dough mixer. then at the funeral home they lost the foot of the guy. it turns out it was the daughter, who took it to school to scare her boyfriend who was being an ass.
right now the cop, the gay lover of one of the funeral-home-owners, is out with the daughter looking for the foot that her boyfriend threw out the window of his car.
this probably doesn't make much sense. do yourself a favor and buy the season on DVD. It's good.
i had a wonderful breakfast at some place in oregon, WI. it was called BrouxNellie's. It was an old-style themed place with cool prints on the walls and elvis music playing. Great (cheap!) little meal. $3.15 got me the day's special: 2 eggs with hashbrowns and toast. For $3.99 I could have gotten bacon too. I'm definitely going back there.
tonight we played magic for a while before I had to run to Al's house to work on his computer. I got it all done except for installing Microsoft Outlook. I'm downloading it now and should have it for him on Wednesday and then be all done. I hate Windows XP. There was some registry error that gave me error code 1606 every time I tried installing stuff. I found a tech sheet on Microsoft's website that dealt with it. It was a pretty simple fix once I figured out how to do it.
I came back and got my ass kicked in magic. and now it's time for me to go to bed so i can wake up tomorrow for class..
bad news first... well, schober took his blog offline. :( sad really. i relied on that for my daily entertainment. my once-every-couple-days entertainment. i hope he puts it back up!
and, for the good news... It's spring! well, kinda! It's not all snowy and shitty cold outside! how's that? I really wanna get my roadrunner out, and drive the dart around, and get out my dad's honda motorcycle and drive that too! i can't wait. hopefully summer won't be too long in getting here!
