Tonight Tim and I tried getting my torn-apart iMac back to life. We did get power to it, but we need a display to see if we're getting anywhere. We should have one here by tomorrow night. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but the iMac is being turned into a fish bowl, and the innards are going into a new case to be a print server and an mp3 server. Woo.
I should probably get into bed by a decent hour tonight. I worked from 5-10:15ish tonight, and I was just dragging. I was so tired! And I found out that I overdrew $37 from my checking account! That sucked. I just hope that Casey gets me the $250 that he owes me soon. I could really use it about now. I did manage to get a blank check from my mom. So, I'll use that to pay off the overdraw and to buy some books for my English Comp 1 report on Sex on Television.
My room is nearly clean! I spent a couple hours today finding all my dirty laundry and washing it, then folding it. I still have a bit of a mess on the other side of my bed, but I don't need both sides to sleep on. And, I'm thinking of buying a new bed. One with storage underneath it from ikea! For only $99! It's a twin, which would be nicer than my huge futon right now. I'm not sure what it is. I thought it was a double but my roommate thinks it's more like a full. Anyways, the point is that with a smaller bed I'd have a lot more space. Next task is to get that bed, another desk (non-computer), a smaller computer desk, and a few lamps for better lighting in here and I'm all set. Hm. Maybe tomorrow I'll clean off my desk.
I also want to get pictures hung on the walls. I need to buy some small nails (wall tacks). I have my Zeppelin poster to go up, and I want to fram this cool portrait of Walter Hamady that is composed entirely of pieces of shredded one-dollar bills.
Tomorrow is the due-date for my boots. They should be here by then. If not I'll have to have a talk with the guy I bought them from. It's been about 2 weeks since I bought them, and he's taking his damned time sending them to me.
I was thinking today, that the styles from the 1920,30's and 40's were pretty cool.
Neato.
*shrug*
I'm off to listen to some Sinatra.
