A little from column A, a little from column B.

I got my hair cut today! I went to a place called Serenity Salon & Day Spa. Jennifer, a girl in my Math Analysis class, works there, which is why I chose it in the first place. Now, this place is amazing. The interior design is very well done. I wish I had pictures. Overall, a very relaxing, calm atmosphere.

For $15, I was given a shampooing/scalp massage, haircut (I had it trimmed a little, layered, and thinned), styling, sideburn trimming (they were getting bushy) and eyebrow trimming. It was amazing.

Other than that, the day's been pretty uneventful. I went to Target and bough about $40 on various supplies (lots of fun hair stuff, various other supplies).

Going to a midnight movie tonight, 28 Days Later, I believe.

Wow. What a long night.

First things first, Jenny showed up, as did Josh and other Josh, and we went to Ultrazone to play laser tag as planned. We bought a wrist band so we could play all night. However, Jenny had to go home early. So, I was going to go spend some alone time with her, and then come back when she headed home. We get in her car and drive back to my apartment, and less than a block away from my place the car dies. Everything just kills. I walk over to my car parked at my apt thinking she'll just need to get jumped. We hook up everything, and her car starts. Great! I go to unplug the cables from her battery, and when I do, her car dies. Shit. Must be the alternator. So, we start the car again, put the car in Neutral (has to be running to do this -- some kind of safety feature), and roll the car closer to the curb to sit until tomorrow. Thank god she has a warranty on it still. What the hell kind of shitty-ass alternators are they putting in cars today anyways? My mom's had the one on her 2000 Mercury Sable replaced 3 times now, I think. Crazy.

So, I drive Jenny back to her place 40 minutes away, and come back up to Madison and my apartment. I get in the door, and one of my roommates suggests we go down and hang out in the hot tub for a bit. It's about 2 a.m. and we head down until around 3:30, which brings us to now.

I'm getting a hair cut tomorrow! yay! I'm getting it chopped a little bit, and thinned. I'm debating whether or not to get strands highlighted to give me more of a dirty surfer look. *shrugs* We'll see tomorrow.

THANK FUCKING GOD IT'S FRIDAY!

No more school! Free day tomorrow! Yay!

I bought "The Smashing Pumpkins 1991-2000 Greatest Hits Video Collection" today. I love it. At least most of it. And I've decided that The Smashing Pumpkins are definitely one of my very favorite bands ever. Billy Corgan is a genius.

Going to go play laser tag at Ultrazone in about an hour, which is cool because I haven't done that for ages. Well, maybe more like months. It'll be fun.

Ye gods! I was looking for my math book and stumbled across a 1 1/2 page journal that is due today at 3 pm. So, I've spent the last hour or so doing that. This sucks. I actually wanted to go to bed kinda early today. I can't ever win. Maybe on Saturday I'll get some sleep. Maybe.

Well, I'm not going to study for math, so wish me luck tomorrow! Off to bed I go. Have to be up in about 5 hours to shower and make it to class on time.

And as a side note: Donnie Darko is SUCH A WEIRD MOVIE! I was just watching it again as I was doing my journal...

Anyways, enough. To bed.

Just got back from a midnight, employees only preview of "Spellbound" with some friends at a local budget cinema. (I don't work there, but I'm friends with the managers.) I'm kind of sitting on the fence about this one. Not spectacularly great, and not terrible. The cinematography was interesting, but the plot was inherently boring. C'mon. A frigging spelling bee!?

One of the characters in particular bugged me to high hell. His name was Harry and he looked/acted like he had Attention Deficit Disorder. He reminded me of Philip the Hyper Hypo kid that Mike Myers played in a Saturday Night Live skit.

I get paid tomorrow! Yay! However, with my aspirations for a trip to California this winter, I won't be able to spend much of it.

Tickets for The Red Hot Chili Peppers came in the mail today. Can't wait. It's only a week away! Driving to Chicago should be interesting, as I've never done it alone before. I'm not going to worry about it. It can't be too difficult.

Well, I'm going to check in on the MacAddict forums, study a little bit for my Math Analysis (Pre calc) test tomorrow, and get to bed.

My new blog! Thanks go to Slashdot for pointing me here.

Since I'm new, I'll tell you a little about me.

I'm Paul, your average 18 year old male. My interests include sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Maybe not drugs so much as alcohol.

Other interests: music in general, guitar, Quentin Tarantino films, classic movies, muscle cars, and my mac. This isn't an all-encompassing list; it's only what first came to mind.

Things going on in my life: I work at Target (www.target.com) as a Sales Floor Associate. The pay is shitty and the hours suck, but it's money. I'm also doing freelance computer work on the side.

Things coming up in my life: plans for an upcoming trip to Cali this December, Red Hot Chili Pepper's concert on the 19th of September. There's also a car show coming up on the 27th-28th in Jefferson, WI where I plan to sell my 1964 Dodge Dart.

Favorite music: Too much to list. Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Booker T and the MGs, The Doors, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, The Eagles, Steve Miller Band, Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, to name a few.

Watching Camp Kill Yourself (CKY) right now. For those who don't know what CKY is, CKY is a precursor to JackAss. Here's an imdb page on it. Entertaining, but only the first time.

More later.
